Dubai Harbour bridge 90% complete, will cut journey from 12 minutes to three

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed 90 per cent of a major bridge project that will slash travel times between Sheikh Zayed Road and Dubai Harbour from around 12 minutes to just three.

The four-lane bridge stretches more than two kilometres and is designed to handle up to 8,000 vehicles per hour in both directions, directly serving the rapidly growing waterfront district.

RTA said the project is part of a wider package of road upgrades being delivered across the emirate in 2026 to ease congestion and unlock new development areas.
