Emirates scraps profit targets as regional conflict drags on

Emirates airline has scrapped its profit targets for the year as the ongoing regional conflict continues to weigh on operations, the carrier's president Tim Clark said.

Speaking on the sidelines of an industry event in Dubai, Mr Clark said the airline had absorbed lessons from last year's 12-day Iran-Israel war and was 'very capable of making the call on whether it's safe to operate'.

Emirates has rerouted dozens of flights and trimmed capacity on certain routes, but says it has no plans for broader cuts and will continue to expand long-haul services through its Dubai hub.
