Dubai tourism pushes ahead with mega events after war disruption
Department of Economy and Tourism CEO Issam Kazim says the emirate stayed open through the conflict and is now preparing for its next growth phase.
Dubai's tourism authorities say the emirate is pushing ahead with mega events and global marketing campaigns after a period of regional disruption, with visitor numbers rebounding strongly through the second quarter.
Issam Kazim, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, said federal and local authorities had taken strong measures to ensure stability and that the city had remained open throughout the conflict.
Officials are now turning their focus to the year-end events calendar, including retail festivals, sports and entertainment, which traditionally anchor the city's high season.
